EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
Heeeeyyyy y’all, welcome back!! Here we are with another weekly blog post and this week I feel led to share something that has been on my heart, staying in a posture of expectancy. This is a right now word for a select group of people that have been experiencing intense warfare. If that sounds like you, then this word is for YOU. Let’s get right in to it.
For those who have been in what feels like a season of suffering and you feel like you can’t catch a break, I want you to know that you are not alone. You are being stretched and tested!! I know that it does not feel good but God is going to use it for your good and for His glory. The warfare that you have been experiencing is an indicator of what God is about to do in your life. Let me explain, if you have been suffering and under attack in your body, get ready, healing is your portion. If you have been suffering and under attack in your finances, watch out, because financial breakthrough is coming for you. You’ve been praying, so get ready to receive divine instructions and strategies on how to break free from bondage in your finances. If you have been suffering and under attack in your mind, in your thought life, cast down those arguments and stand on the truth…there will be a fresh renewal in your mind and transformation in your life. Simply put, the area of your warfare is the very place where God is disciplining you and preparing you for your next and best. So do not grow weary. It is a FIXED FIGHT (“For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4 NIV).
You may have battle fatigue and are ready to throw in the towel but don’t take the bait…you will wave the banner of VICTORY, you will overcome and breakthrough. But catch this, the enemy wants you to FOCUS on what you currently see but it’s time to shift to a new level/dimension of FAITH. It’s uncomfortable, I get it, God is using it to stretch you but understand this, the limitations and barriers are breaking and the warfare is lifting. In the middle of one of your greatest transitions to date, the enemy thought he could play on your vulnerability but the devil is a liar and The Lord of Hosts wants you to EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!!!
You may be thinking or even saying, “no way, I don’t have it in me,” because it can be difficult to open yourself up to expectation, in hope, when you have been hit with back to back seasons of disappointments but you must discipline yourself and not allow your feelings to steer your faith-somebody needs to read that again. Listen, your feelings are not facts, they can lie to you, so you cannot navigate this season in your flesh, be led by the spirit. The warfare is designed to make you weary but do not take the bait, be led by the Spirit and stay in a posture of expectancy…this is crucial.
You stay in a posture of expectancy (a strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future) by:
Recalling God’s track record in your life, He did the impossible before, He can do it again. “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 NKJV
Remembering who He is. He is not a man that He should lie. “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 NKJV
Returning to the secret place- commune with God/sit at His feet, pray + hear His voice and be refreshed. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Psalms 91:1-2 NKJV
Rejoicing in advance. Praise and worship confuses the enemy!! “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV
Renewing your strength- carry the weight of the wait, God’s way (remembering that patience is a heart posture and a position…wait well). “…,But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
Be encouraged!! We should have the spirit of expectancy in the POWER of God…As we expect Him to fulfill His PROMISES and PURPOSE for our lives. He said it and He will do it; now, don’t let the enemy come for your faith. Stand firm!! EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.
I pray that this week’s blog post was one filled with clarity, warfare strategy and much needed insight for your current season. Please feel free to comment and/or share this blog post with family and friends-please pass it on. Thank you in advance.
