CARRY THE WEIGHT OF THE WAIT WELL

Heeeyyyyyyyy y’all, welcome back!! Here we are with another weekly blog post and this week I feel led to share a word for singles, that has been on my heart. It’s a super brief word but it is loaded with insight, instructions and will bring clarity for those who are in a waiting period in their season of singleness.

Let’s take a look at Ruth. Ruth’s obedience birthed breakthrough; breakthrough in her bloodline, breakthrough in her marital status, breakthrough in her finances, and she was favored. She didn’t allow her previous season to pollute her perspective of the endless possibilities of the next season (somebody catch it). She didn’t allow her previous season to be a barrier that blocked next season’s blessings. She had to pivot, in her thinking (and even in the midst of hurt and trauma)….which led to the promise. Ruth did not wallow in the fact that her last relationship was done, she did not settle in a pit of despair…instead she cleaved to Naomi and was determined to go wherever she went. Perhaps Ruth discerned and had a revelation that where ever Naomi was going, was exactly where she needed to be. Catch it, ok!!! Here is the instruction: Shift your focus from the past relationship that may have caused so much pain and disappointment. And shift your focus from staying where God is calling you to leave (this can be geographically or mentally-you just know that God has been calling you to a different place). It’s time to SHIFT.

Ruth’s obedience and open mindedness to what God was doing in her life, was paramount to her next blessing being revealed and released in her life. So, what is the Lord asking of you in this hour? What is the last thing that He called you to do? Did you obey, in faith or are you choosing to stay in a field that is no longer producing fruit (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually)? Just some questions to ponder on as you reflect on this week’s word.

I pray that this week’s blog post was one filled with clarity, insight and instruction for the singles in waiting. Don’t allow the weight of the wait to make you weary.

Please feel free to comment and/or share this blog post with family and friends -please pass it on. Thank you in advance!!
